CME PTA strives to offer programs througout the year that enhance the learning of our children and support our school and staff while having fun at the same time! Through fundraising efforts, support from parents, teachers, staff, family, friends, and business partners, CME PTA is proud to sponsor the following programs.

If you are able to volunteer for any of these events or programs, please click on the "How Can I Help" tab for additional information. These programs wouldn't be possible without our amazing volunteers and we desperately need your help!

  • Pastries With Parents - Donuts, coffee, juice and milk are served to parents and their child before school in the cafeteria.  This year, we will be hosting two events ... February 2nd for students with last names A-L and February 3rd for students with last names M-Z.  Cost is free for PTA Members and $1.00 per person for Non-Members.  An RSVP slip will come home close to the event date(s).  These are required to be returned to assure we have enough food for everyone.

  • Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser - CME's biggest fundraiser event!  Students will gather pledges from friends & family and participate in the Walk-A-Thon event held on the CME Cougar Track!  It is an all-day event with music and special guest appearances!  Students will participate by grade level during their Special Class time for the day.  Instead of going to the Specials, students will come outside and walk the 45 minutes of class time.

  • Spring Fundraiser - Depending on whether we meet our fundraising goal with the Walk-A-Thon, we allocate a Spring fundraiser to help offset our yearly fundraising goals.

  • Grandparents/Special Friend's Day - This event is a fun-filled day for Grandparents (or Special Friends) to join their grandchildren/friend in school for part of the day.  They will spend some time in the child's classroom, eat lunch and have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair and have their pictures taken.

  • Book Fairs - (Occur on Grandparent's/Special Friend's Day, Breakfast with Santa and in the Spring) - CME PTA hosts Scholastic Book Fairs three times a year.  All profits from these book fairs help support CME.  The school also earns "Scholastic Dollars" based on the sale amount that can be spent on equipment and other needs the school might have.  These are a great opportunities to purchase books for a good price and help the school out at the same time!

  • Fall Family Fun Night - Family Fun Night is growing every year and is a fun night out for the entire family.  The night kicks off with Trunk or Treat on the blacktop while hot dogs and other concessions are served among the best chili cook-off contest in Blue Springs located in the cafeteria! The night finishes off with Family Movie Night.  Cost is free for PTA Members and $1.00 per person for Non-PTA Members.

  • Fall Parties - CME PTA hosts Fall parties for all grade levels.  Each grade is assigned a time during the day (during their Special Class time) to visit the party area by grade level.  Parent/Grandparent help is very much needed on these days!

  • CME Staff Appreciation Lunches - Throughout the year, two luncheons are served to our wonderful staff to show our appreciation for their hard work.  Food donations are supplied by parents for these lunches.  Look for Sign Up Genius on-line requests to help with food donations.

  • Grade Level Art Auctions - With the help from classroom teachers and art teacher, each class creates a "one of a kind masterpiece" that gets auctioned off after the Grade Level Performances!  These are always such fun evenings holding the "LIVE" auctions with help from CME's very own talented auctioners!
